COVID-19 UPDATES FROM AREC
Is the AREC still open?
Yes, the Commission remains operational, and our staff are now working on site. We are accepting guests in our building and masks are required. We check temperatures at the door and ask that anyone who is ill, been exposed to COVID or any contagious illness contact us by phone or email instead of coming into the AREC building.
License Candidate Update: Exams
Pearson Vue Testing Centers are open and continue to follow COVID protocols for occupancy and sanitization. You are encouraged to check Pearson VUE's Coronavirus Update Page for details.
License Candidate Update: Fingerprinting
The Arkansas State Police Headquarters in Little Rock will no longer accept walk-ins for fingerprinting services except for health care workers. Real estate license applicants may utilize the commercial capture sites (see list below) to be fingerprinted.

Education Update
The AREC has allowed classes to be continued via classroom instruction, online instruction, or alternative methods of instruction. Alternative methods of instruction (for example, live-streamed courses via Zoom) may continue through December 31, 2021.
The mission of the Arkansas Real Estate Commission is to protect the public interest through the examination, licensing, and regulation of real estate brokers and salespersons, and through administration of the Arkansas Time-Share Law. We will continue to serve the people of Arkansas through the pandemic.
