On December 23, 2013, Respondent Valentin, in The United States District Court Western District of Arkansas Fayetteville Division, pleaded guilty to a one count indictment charging him with Making and Causing to be Made False Statements to a Financial Institution, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1014 and 2. A. On or about December 23, 2013, and, on or about September 18, 2014, Respondent Valentin requested through his attorney, Bob Estes, “the Commission initiate an investigation and schedule a hearing to determine what sanctions, if any will be had.” On September 8, 2014, In the United States District Court Western Division of Arkansas, Respondent Valentin was sentenced to be imprisoned for twelve (12) months, consisting of six (6) months imprisonment followed by six (6) months of home confinement and eighteen (18) months supervised release upon release from imprisonment. Respondent Valentin was also ordered to make restitution in the amount of $178,343.85. Respondent was released from prison custody on March 27, 2015. Respondent is due to be released from home confinement on September 29, 2015.
